I agree. I will mostly use this for repurposing my content to newsletters & reels.
Shorts do get views on YT regardless of comments (seems to depend more on topic/content). Instagram is similar but I use it more to reach people who are not on X and keep them in the loop.
I don’t engage a lot on Threads, for example, as I prefer X. Also on LI I’m not terribly active and don’t repurpose there at the moment.
So yes I agree one should have a priority. But managing 2 main platforms can work (for me X and Substack is my priority and I can create content for both via repurposing live videos).
I can relate to what you say as well as I have done over 200 reels on IG (which I cross posted to EVERY video platform) in the past. Those were videos that were edited with a lot of effort (1-2 hours per video) and the got me very little views.
Now I’m cutting up live video and some get more views than my old ones… which used to be a lot more work.
I think the “live” component makes videos more engaging because once I get talking it’s different than a scripted video (of course many people do scripted, including Dan Koe for his long form YouTube videos).
In the end I think this approach gives you a lot of angles to try and allows you to experiment, which will yield data that enables better decisions.
I do want to repurpose content to all platforms.
My only concern is how important it is to engage on the platforms as well.
Comments to other accounts and responses on our own content to increase the reach.
The algorithms punish the post and ghost strategy (for small accounts at least)
How do you handle that?

Thanks for the good question/comment, Tommy.
Great guide Lukas,
You went through everything one could need to understand,
and do content creation efficiently.
You gave me a few ideas.
Glad you liked it, J. Happy to answer any questions. My aim is to streamline the process so it’s under an hour per high quality newsletter.
If one enjoys writing this does not replace it, but it’s extremely time efficient for business owners who don’t have so much time to write.
